J-170 or J-171? Possibly Neither.
(1855 80%/20% and 60%/40%
copper/nickel Four-Leaf LFEs)

Although the 9th Edition of the Judd book refers to both J-170 and J-171 as low R7
(7-12 believed to exist), it is very possible, maybe even probable, that neither exists.
My research is the third time patterns labelled "J-170" and "J-171"  have been X-Ray
tested, to my knowledge.  On no occasion did any test out as 80% copper and 20%
nickel or 60% copper and 40% nickel.  All the coins have tested out at 90% copper and
10% nickel (J-170A) or at some combination of copper, nickel and zinc (German Silver:
J-171A).  The coin pictured contains approximately 68% copper, 17% nickel and 15%
zinc, making it a J-171A.  It was sold as "J-170/171" by a major auction house.
J-170 or J-171?
